Barista's Coffee House

Everybody's really nice. I've been here several times just writing and relaxing. The seats are comfortable, it's the right kind of crowded, and I never feel rushed even though I'm the guy who won't leave once I hit a groove with the writing. Fair warning, you can't tip unless it's cash or Venmo. As someone who always tips and almost never has cash (and had to reset my password to Venmo which was an annoying 2 minutes), I thought everyone should know.

OMG the food...the only other times I have been so impressed by a meal (happy dance as I chew) those restaurants had Michelin stars. Anytime I am in town Baristas is a requirement now. Family brought me out & I was beyond pleased! The atmosphere & friendly visit from the owner set the tone. And the coffee

Perfect little spot tucked away in Northfield, NJ. The atmosphere is great, and the aroma of fresh coffee as you walk in is fantastic. They offer dine-in and take-out, so whether you want to sit and chat or grab something on the go, they have you covered. Their menu has both breakfast and lunch options. The caramel latte is amazing—highly recommended—and they’re great about accommodating allergies, which is a big plus. For lunch, we tried the hollandaise waffles, which were a really nice mix of sweet and salty. The only thing I’d tweak is the hollandaise—it could’ve used just a touch more salt and pepper. We also had the brisket BBQ grilled cheese. As a huge brisket lover, I was hoping for a bit more brisket, and the fat could’ve been trimmed better unless it was going to melt in my mouth. Overall, though, it was a great experience with really good flavors and excellent service. And don’t leave without trying the macaroons—perfect little sweet treat before heading out!

If I could give them more stars I would! I try to come to Barista’s anytime I’m in the area and they never disappoint! The coffee and food is delicious as well as the baked goods in the case. However, the friendly service is what keeps me going back! You are always greeted with a warm smile and genuine kindness which is so hard to come across these days.

I happened upon this place while waiting for my husband at urgent care and I'm so happy I did. The service was a bit different than I'm accustomed to, you order with a server and they call your name when the drinks are ready and you go to the counter to pickup. Easy peasy. Food is delivered to your table. I was made to feel welcomed and didn't feel judged when I asked how things work with ordering. Food was very good, coffee drinks were great, service was outstanding! If I lived nearby or visited this area often, this would be my #1 stop anytime I wanted coffee and/or breakfast.

I got an iced raspberry mocha and egg and cheese on a croissant - everything was perfect! Coffee was some of the best I've had in the area. Everyone who worked there had a smile and was so incredibly kind. My only gripe is that the croissant was still $10, even though there was no meat on it, which was kind of expensive, but it was absolutely mouthwateringly delicious and HUGE -- I will definitely be getting both again. So cute inside.

Good vibes as soon as we walked in! Love the atmosphere & decor. Hostess, server & busser were all so sweet & friendly. I was overwhelmed by all the menu options so we're already planning to return for a coffee flight & more brunch. I had the BBQ brisket grilled cheese - 4/5 - great flavor but a bit too much sauce for me. My husband had the smokehouse bagel - 4/5 - delicious but a little dry (ironically). Perhaps a side of the BBQ sauce would make it perfect? We split the bananas foster french toast - 4/5 - again, delicious but the bread probably could've soaked a bit longer & I usually prefer a thicker slice. Our lattes were PERFECT - salted caramel, vanilla Chai & an iced mocha to go We'll definitely be back!
